Job summary

Queensland Rail is seeking a Tutor Suburban Rail Operator to join the RMC and Operations team in Bowen Hills on a permanent full-time basis. You will deliver operational training, accreditation, and reaccreditation programs for Trainee Suburban Rail Operators and Yard Coordinators, while providing coaching and support to develop skills, knowledge and behaviours for safe rail operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering training and assessment activities in rail operations.
• Ability to coach and assess employees in classroom and operational environments.
• Strong knowledge of safety frameworks and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accreditation and reaccreditation programs for Suburban Rail Operators and Yard Coordinators.
• Undertake training and assessment for Shunters and Foreman Shunters in classrooms and on-site.
• Coach, mentor and provide feedback to support trainee development.
• Ensure accreditation requirements are met within required timeframes.
• Support operational teams with shunting duties and expertise as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of yard operations, safeworking and points systems.
• Promote compliance with Safety Management Framework and procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in training effectiveness and safety.
