Job summary

CERT Training, a subsidiary of Engenco Limited, seeks a Rail Trainer & Assessor to join our Queensland team on a full-time, part-time or casual basis. The role delivers quality training and assessment services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and vocational currency across our rail-focused programs.

Reporting to the Training Manager, you will collaborate with the Queensland Team to review courseware, participate in moderation, and support industry placements while maintaining

Qualifications

• Industry experience within the Rail sector.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
• Industry currency and field experience in training delivery.
• Understanding of industry training packages and qualifications and units of competency.
• Experience delivering training programs and professional development to persons in the VET sector.
• Knowledge of and ability to ensure compliance with legislation and industry standards (e.g., NVE Act, VET Standards, OH&S acts).
• Demonstration of high-level interpersonal communication in formal and practical environments.
• Effective use of Microsoft Office or similar software.
• Ability to manage work priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to self-manage professional development to adhere to standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality training and assessment services in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in performance evaluation and development opportunities.
• Maintain high-level vocational understanding for products and services delivered.
• Participate in courseware reviews including moderation and validation.
• Participate in industry placement to ensure vocational currency.
