Job summary

UGL Pty Limited is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join a newly awarded Substation Project in NSW. The role involves leading and coordinating electrical construction activities on site, managing crews and ensuring safety, quality and compliance.

You will oversee cable installation, HV plant, switchgear and live substation works, while driving continuous improvement and effective stakeholder communication across the project team.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction with team‑lead/supervisory role.
• Strong planning and coordination skills.
• Proven record of driving continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated organisational capabilities.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
• Knowledge of LEAN principles.
• Experience with Primavera, MS Project, SAP and substations (green/brownfield sites).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site-based electrical construction activities.
• Manage electrical crews, subcontractors and apprentices to ensure productivity, quality and compliance.
• Oversee installation and termination of cables, earth grids, HV plant, switchgear and services.
• Coordinate works in live substations environments.
• Lead toolbox talks, pre-start meetings and safety initiatives.
• Ensure HSSEQ, QA and project documentation requirements are met.
• Monitor progress, workforce performance and timesheets.
• Support workforce development, inductions and compliance training.
• Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders and site leadership.
