Babcock Australia & New Zealand is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join the Collins Sustainment Program, supporting the maintenance of the Collins Class Submarine fleet from our new Woodville North facility. This role involves day-to-day project delivery, coordinating with the Project Manager to ensure safety, scope, schedule, budget, risk and quality requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Australian citizenship with Defence Security Clearance (or ability to obtain).
• AIPM CPPP certification.
• Project Management qualification.
• Working knowledge of project competencies.
• Trade or mechanical background desirable or similar discipline.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day delivery of projects within the Collins Sustainment Program, working with the Project Manager to ensure safety, scope, schedule, budget, risk and quality requirements are met.
• Involved in planning, monitoring and controlling work packages, developing accurate financial and schedule estimates, coordinating reporting and engaging with stakeholders across the program.
• Help shape project scope and requirements, support client meetings, maintain project documentation and contribute to risk management, forecasting and change control processes.
• Grow project management capability within a Defence environment with guidance and support.

Education
