Job summary

ASC Pty Ltd, Australia’s submarine company, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a team of project managers delivering the Collins Class Submarine Program from Henderson, with occasional work on Garden Island. You will provide strategic leadership, manage complex schedules, and ensure outcomes align with program priorities.

The role requires extensive defence industry experience, strong communication, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while driving continuous improvement and fostering

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in engineering or project management, or equivalent experience.
• Membership of AIPM or similar is desirable.
• Navy/Defence asset maintenance experience is desirable.
• Understanding of Defence customers and environments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Project Managers delivering complex projects.
• Develop and manage project schedules and baselines.
• Build relationships with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
• Oversee risk and financial performance, including Earned Value.
• Coach and develop project managers and assistants.
• Prepare reports and briefings to senior leadership.
• Champion continuous improvement and PRIDE values.
