Job summary

The University of Melbourne in Parkville is seeking a Students and Programs Officer to coordinate key elements of the Doctor of Medicine program and manage the student lifecycle. You will support exams, placements and enrolments while driving improvements that enhance the MD student experience.

You will collaborate with academics and clinical partners, using your high EQ and detail orientation to ensure accurate results processing and compliant records across multiple cohorts.

Qualifications

  • Hold a relevant degree and bring experience in student administration or comparable complex service environments.
  • Demonstrate strong planning, prioritisation and time management across multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Deliver high-quality client service while building relationships with students, academics and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate administration for allocated MD subjects, including enrolments, timetabling, assessments, results and policy compliance.
  • Manage clinical placement compliance and communications to ensure students are eligible to commence and remain on placement.
  • Support tutor recruitment, MD selection activities, student leave requests and accurate results processing for designated cohorts.
  • Contribute to planning, reporting and committee support, including Board of Examiners meetings and enrolment analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement by reviewing processes, gathering stakeholder feedback and enhancing client-focused administrative systems.
