Job summary

Joseph Banks Secondary College seeks to establish a pool of Student Support Officers for permanent and fixed-term vacancies across 2026 and into 2027. The SSO role includes coordinating student support programs, developing intervention strategies, and liaising with teachers and families to support student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in coordinating student support programs and liaising with multiple parties.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Student Support Programs within the school.
• Develop and implement systems or intervention strategies for students.
• Provide guidance to teachers on strategies to support students.
• Link the school to local community and build partnerships with agencies.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and case conferences as needed.
• Research current issues and prepare information to develop new strategies.
• Support culturally diverse initiatives/programs within the school.
