Job summary

Acknowledge Education is part of UP Education and the Darlinghurst campus in Sydney is seeking a full-time Academic Support Officer. You’ll deliver engaging workshops, provide one-to-one academic support and work with Course Coordinators to strengthen skills, referencing and academic integrity, including the appropriate use of Generative AI.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education, Education Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering academic skills workshops or tutorials within higher education or VET.
• Understanding of academic writing, referencing, assessment literacy and academic integrity.
• Experience supporting diverse student cohorts, including international students and students at risk.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Academic Support Workshops covering referencing, paraphrasing, writing, assessment analysis and Q&A.
• Help students interpret assessment briefs and strengthen research, writing and referencing skills.
• Support students to understand academic integrity requirements and the use of Generative AI.
• Provide targeted one-to-one academic support to referred students.
• Facilitate open Q&A sessions and monitor student progress with tailored study plans.
• Work with Course Coordinators to identify gaps and tailor support, connecting to other services.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality assurance and reporting.
