Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking a Learning Success Advisor to join the Learning Hub team. You will design and deliver post-entry academic language and learning support, partnering with faculties, libraries, and CET to implement embedded programs.

You will run learning sessions for students and staff, develop resources, monitor engagement with learning analytics, and contribute to strategic plans and continuous improvement of learning support initiatives across the University.

Qualifications

Postgraduate qualifications and/or relevant work experience in higher education or TESOL.
Experience facilitating learning support initiatives in higher education.
Experience designing and delivering discipline-specific academic language support programs.
Knowledge of educational best practices in post-entry language and learning.

Responsibilities

Work within a dynamic team, reporting to the Learning Hub Lead.
Design and create learning and teaching materials for the area.
Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of post-entry academic language and learning support initiatives.
Deliver learning support, advising and training activities to students, peer-facilitators and staff for up to 20 hours a week.
Work collaboratively with the Learning Hub Lead and colleagues across CET + Learning Hub to ensure effective programs.
Engage with the post-entry language learning community to enhance the University's reputation.
