Job summary

Zeal Futures’ independent secondary school currently supports students in Years 9 and 10, expanding to Years 11 and 12, with this role commencing in January 2027. This is a unique opportunity to help improve day-to-day learning, engagement and wellbeing through hands-on classroom support.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Education Support (or equivalent).
• Experience working with students with additional needs is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting young people.
• A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment, offering support that encourages student engagement and confidence.
• Supporting teachers with planning and differentiating learning programs, tasks and assessments across a range of subjects, ensuring effective learning support and successful student outcomes.
• Building and maintaining positive, trusted, and professional relationships with students.
• Delivering learning support that is flexible and responsive to student learning needs, providing opportunities for the student to be actively involved in their own learning.
• Participating in school events, professional development opportunities and other extracurricular activities

Zeal Futures’ independent secondary school currently supports students in Years 9 and 10, providing an engaging, inclusive and supportive learning environment. As a Student Learning Support Officer (internally referred to as Classroom Support), you will work closely with our students, teachers and wellbeing staff to provide hands‑on support that enhances student engagement and success. You will also be responsible for:

• Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment, offering support that encourages student engagement and confidence.
• Supporting teachers with planning and differentiating learning programs, tasks and assessments across a range of subjects, ensuring effective learning support and successful student outcomes
