Job summary

Northrop Consulting Engineers in Sydney and Parramatta is seeking an experienced structural engineer to lead projects from concept to construction. You will work with a professional team and manage technical delivery with autonomy while supported by the management team.

We value 2–5 years of Australian experience and a tertiary engineering degree, with proficiency in ETABS, SpaceGass, RC Building, and RAPT. You will mentor graduates and help develop client relationships.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years experience as structural engineering consultant in Australia.
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering.
• Knowledge of ETABS, RC Building, RAPT, SpaceGass.
• Experience delivering projects across residential, commercial, health, education, and industrial sectors.
• Ability to mentor graduates and undergraduates.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical delivery of a wide range of structural projects including commercial buildings, residential developments, fit-out, aged care and educational facilities.
• Working closely with a diverse client base, attending meetings and inspections.
• Assist with project costings, monitoring project performance and budget to meet dates.
• Provide mentorship to our graduates and undergraduates.
• Contribute to technical development across the structural section.
• Develop skills in business development including preparation of proposals.
