Job summary
Northrop Consulting Engineers in Newcastle or Sydney is seeking a Structural Engineer with 3–5 years of Australian market experience and a specialty in post-tensioned concrete design. Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as Structural Engineering Consultant in Australia
- Developing expertise in post-tensioned concrete slab design and detailing
- Engineering degree with CPEng preferred
- Knowledge of ETABS, RC Building, RAM Concept, RAPT, Inducta and SpaceGass is valuable
- Experience delivering projects across residential, health, education, and commercial sectors
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, efficient, and compliant structural designs across building projects with focus on post-tensioned concrete
- Lead project teams from concept to construction and manage technical delivery
- Coordinate with architects and services disciplines to ensure buildable solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and support time planning and budgeting
- Contribute to business development and proposal work
