Job summary

Taylor Thomson Whitting (TTW) in Canberra seeks a Structural Engineer with 4+ years of post-graduate experience to tackle a diverse range of challenging projects. You will contribute to innovative designs and documentation while working within a supportive team environment.

You will use Etabs, SpaceGass, RAM, and RAPT to deliver robust structural solutions, with additional timber experience and site exposure considered highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Member of Engineers Australia, CPEng/NER
• At least 5/6 years' experience in a similar role with timber experience desirable
• Software: Etabs, SpaceGass, RAM, RAPT
• Site experience highly desirable - at least one building project with site attendance
• Ability to prioritise incoming work appropriately
• Excellent attention to detail
• Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
• Problem solving/analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Apply a deep understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems.
• Produce designs, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity.
• Prepare client reports.
• Assume responsibility for the management of small, medium and some large-scale projects including duties such as pricing, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling and meeting deadlines and budgets.
