Job summary

TTW is seeking an Engineer (Construction Engineering) to join our Sydney team. You will work with experienced engineers on a diverse portfolio of public and private sector projects, delivering innovative civil engineering solutions while developing your technical expertise and career.

You will apply engineering principles, liaise with drafters, coordinate with builders and other engineers, and contribute to documentation to meet client requirements under supervision.

Qualifications

• Member of Engineers Australia.
• At least 1 year of engineering experience.
• Understanding of BCA and relevant Australian Standards.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise incoming work appropriately.
• Problem solving/analytical skills.
• Demonstrated time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply a deep understanding of engineering principles to current projects.
• Devise and implement new approaches to complex engineering problems.
• Contribute to project planning and ensure delivery within program and budget.
• Liaise with drafters to enable preparation of documentation.
• Produce designs, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports and other docs for projects of reasonable complexity.
• Coordinate with builders, architects and services engineers on design issues.
• Ensure compliance with Codes and policies, WHS and QA.

In this role, you will

• Apply a deep understanding of engineering principles to current projects
• Use knowledge and initiative to devise and implement new approaches to complex engineering problems
• Contributes to project planning and ensures projects are delivered within program and budget
• Liaise with drafters to enable preparation of documentation
• Produce designs, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports, and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity under the guidance of senior staff
• Liaise and coordinate with builders, architects, and services engineers on design issues
• Ensure compliance with applicable Codes and policies – e.g., WHS practices and Quality Assurance
• Developing the ability to plan and manage resources for small projects or sections of larger projects including taking responsibility for results and outcomes and adherence to project schedules/timelines
