Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Membership with Engineers Australia; CPEng and/or NER accreditation is highly regarded.
• 4+ years of structural engineering experience in a consulting environment.
• Proficiency in ETABS, SPACE GASS, RAM Structural System and RAPT.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing Brisbane team.

This role is ideal for engineers with 4+ years of experience who are looking to broaden their technical expertise, contribute to a diverse range of building projects, and take the next step in their professional career.

Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll be involved in delivering innovative and technically challenging structural solutions across a variety of projects. You'll enjoy a collaborative environment with opportunities for career progression, flexible working arrangements, and exposure to landmark developments.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the structural design and delivery of projects including high-rise buildings, warehouses, industrial facilities, data centres, and other building developments.
• Prepare structural analysis, calculations, technical reports, specifications, and design documentation in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Review and check engineering calculations, drawings, and documentation prepared by junior engineers and drafters.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers while ensuring high-quality project delivery.
• Prepare technical submissions and other project-related deliverables as required.
• Support construction activities by responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, assessing design changes, and conducting site inspections when required.
• Apply a deep understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems.

Project Delivery

Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Manage project schedules, deliverables, and priorities to meet client expectations and project deadlines.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, design standards, quality management systems, and workplace health and safety requirements.

Build and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to the successful delivery and commercial performance of projects.

Who are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Membership with Engineers Australia; CPEng and/or NER accreditation is highly regarded.
• 4+ years of experience in structural engineering within a consulting environment.
• Proficiency in ETABS, SPACE GASS, RAM Structural System, and RAPT.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Site experience on at least one building project is highly desirable.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
