Job summary

ACLE Services is looking for a capable Structural Engineer to join our growing energy engineering team in Australia. The successful candidate will support the analysis, design and delivery of structural works across our energy projects.

Key tasks include creating structural models with SPACE GASS, producing calculations and drawings in AutoCAD, reviewing submissions, coordinating with multi-discipline teams, and supporting site inspections while ensuring compliance with AS 3600, AS 4100 and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Proven track record applying SPACE GASS and AutoCAD on energy projects.
• Experience with AS 3600, AS 4100 and AS/NZS 1170 series desirable.

Responsibilities

• Undertake structural analysis and design of steel and reinforced-concrete structures.
• Develop structural models and perform design calculations using SPACE GASS.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and review AutoCAD drawings, details and mark-ups.
• Review shop drawings, contractor submissions and construction methodologies.
• Respond to RFIs and provide engineering support during fabrication and construction.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, mechanical, drafting and construction teams.
• Assist with site inspections and resolve construction-related issues.
• Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards, project specifications and safety requirements.

About the Role

We are looking for a capable and practical Structural Engineer to join our growing engineering team. The successful candidate will support the analysis, design and delivery of structural works across our energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake structural analysis and design of steel and reinforced-concrete structures
• Develop structural models and perform design calculations using SPACE GASS
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings and specifications
• Prepare and review AutoCAD drawings, details and mark-ups
• Review shop drawings, contractor submissions and construction methodologies
• Respond to RFIs and provide practical engineering support during fabrication and construction
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, mechanical, drafting and construction teams
• Assist with site inspections and resolve construction-related issues
• Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, project specifications and safety requirements

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Proven track record applying SPACE GASS and AutoCAD across BESS, renewable-energy, electrical substation, or broader energy, utilities and mining projects.
• Sound knowledge and practical application of AS 3600, AS 4100 and the AS/NZS 1170 series.
• Demonstrated experience designing steel and reinforced-concrete structures.
• Ability to prepare clear engineering calculations, technical reports and design documentation.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team
