Job summary

All Energy Contracting (AEC) is seeking a hands-on Structural Engineer to join our Hamilton, Queensland team. The role focuses on design, development and management of energy infrastructure projects including solar, wind, and BESS structures.

The successful candidate will have a Civil Engineering degree, 4–7+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with design software such as Space Gass, Strand7, SAP2000, Inventor and AutoCAD, with RPEQ registration or progression toward it.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• 4–7+ years' experience in structural and/or mechanical engineering design within construction, infrastructure or renewables
• Experience preparing and reviewing structural and mechanical design calculations, drawings and specifications
• Experience providing construction-phase engineering support
• Project-level structural/mechanical engineering experience
• Solar Farm, BESS, High Voltage Substation or Transmission Line experience, desirable
• Experience with structural/mechanical design software (e.g. Space Gass, Strand7, SAP2000, Inventor, AutoCAD)
• RPEQ registration or an ability to work towards it.

• Develop and review structural designs, drawings and specifications for solar mounting structures, racking systems, substation structures and BESS enclosures
• Prepare and check structural design calculations, including wind, seismic and foundation loading
• Manage structural and mechanical technical queries and coordinate resolution with design consultants
• Prepare structural and mechanical engineering progress reports for the Engineering Lead
• Ensure technical documentation is compliant with engineering standards and PMO governance procedures
• Coordinate design interfaces with civil, structural, electrical and mechanical disciplines

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Hamilton, Queensland. This permanent, full-time position will assist in the successful execution of various engineering projects within energy infrastructure.

This office based role will involve occasional travel to site and offers flexible working arrangements.

This role will contribute to the design, development, and management of energy infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role works within, and requires an Engineer with experience working on structures on Wind Farms, Solar Farms and BESS projects.
