Job summary

ACLE Services is seeking an experienced Site Manager for the Yanco BESS project in regional New South Wales. Based at our Yanco site, you will lead day-to-day construction activities, ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery for a utility-scale battery energy storage project.

You will manage site teams, subcontractors and interfaces, plan labour and equipment, monitor progress, and drive proactive risk mitigation to meet milestones and contractual obligations.

Qualifications

• Onsite construction leadership experience.
• Trade qualification or engineering degree in Civil/Electrical disciplines.
• Experience in renewable energy, EPC, infrastructure or major construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day construction activities safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and interfaces.
• Plan labour, plant, equipment and materials to maximise productivity and milestones.
• Coordinate rosters and mobilisation activities for project delivery.
• Review timesheets, overtime, and workforce records for accuracy.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and contract compliance.
• Participate in site progress meetings and reporting.
• Identify and mitigate risks affecting delivery.

About the Project/Role

The Yanco BESS is a major 250MW / 1,000MWh battery energy storage project in regional New South Wales. As the Balance of Plant contractor, ACLE is helping deliver critical infrastructure that will enhance grid reliability and support the integration of renewable energy into the national electricity network.

Based at our Yanco site, We are seeking an experienced and driven Site Manager to join our Project Delivery team and play a key role in the successful delivery of utility-scale renewable energy projects. This position is ideal for a hands‑on construction leader with strong renewable energy experience and a passion for safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate day-to-day construction activities to deliver works safely, on schedule, to specification and within budget.

Manage site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and key construction interfaces to ensure efficient project execution.

Plan and coordinate labour, plant, equipment and materials to maximise productivity an achieve project milestones.

Monitor workforce requirements, coordinate rosters and manage mobilisation activities to support project delivery demands.

Review and approve timesheets, overtime, allowances and workforce records to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure works are delivered in accordance with contractual obligations, specifications and project requirements.

Participate in site progress meetings and contribute to daily, weekly and milestone reporting.

Take a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks, constraints and issues o support successful project delivery

About You

Strong onsite construction experience, including site leadership responsibilities.

Relevant trade qualification with strong construction experience or Degree qualification in Civil/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience within renewable energy, EPC, infrastructure or major construction.

Solar PV and/or BESS experience is highly desirable but not essential.

Proven experience managing subcontractors and site-based workforces.

Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills.

Construction White Card and Level 2 First Aid certification.
