Job summary

DRA Global in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Structural Designer to join our multidisciplinary team on mining and processing projects. You will produce detailed drawings and 3D models, work with engineers and project managers, and contribute to design reviews.

The role requires about 3+ years' experience in detailed design, competency with CAD platforms, and a commitment to quality and safety. Certificate III in Engineering is desirable; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in engineering detailed design
• Experience in resources, mining, infrastructure or industrial projects highly regarded
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Advanced Steel, MicroStation, OpenBuildings and related design platforms
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed structural drawings and 3D models using approved CAD platforms.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards and project specifications.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to project teams.
• Conduct quality checks on design deliverables prior to issue.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers and stakeholders to develop practical solutions.
• Maintain accurate drawing registers, revisions and project documentation.
• Monitor assigned work to ensure delivery against project schedules and client expectations.
• Demonstrate a high standard of personal safety and safe design practices.
