Job summary

DRA Global is seeking an experienced Structural Designer to join our Brisbane-based team. You will deliver detailed structural drawings and 3D models across mining and minerals projects, collaborating with engineers, project managers and stakeholders to meet design standards.

Key duties include CAD work, design reviews, quality checks and drawing register maintenance, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliant design practices.

About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Structural Designer to join our established team based in Brisbane.

Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, you will contribute to the delivery of structural design packages across a diverse portfolio of mining and minerals processing projects. You will play a key role in producing detailed drawings and models while working closely with engineers, project managers and stakeholders.

Key Duties

• Prepare detailed structural drawings and 3D models using approved CAD platforms.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards and project specifications.

You Will Have

• Certificate III in Engineering desirable.
• Approximately 3+ years' experience within an engineering detailed design environment.
• Experience in resources, mining, infrastructure or industrial projects highly regarded.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Advanced Steel, MicroStation, OpenBuildings and related design platforms.
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
