Job summary

DRA Global is seeking an experienced Structural Designer to join our Brisbane team, contributing to detailed drawings and 3D models for mining and minerals projects. You will work with engineers and project teams, ensuring designs meet codes and client specs, maintain drawing registers, and support delivery against schedules while upholding safe design practices.

The ideal candidate has around 3+ years in detailed design, proficient in AutoCAD, Advanced Steel, MicroStation, OpenBuildings, and

Qualifications

Certificate III in Engineering desirable.
Approximately 3+ years' experience within an engineering detailed design environment.
Experience in resources, mining, infrastructure or industrial projects highly regarded.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Advanced Steel, MicroStation, OpenBuildings and related design platforms.
Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed structural drawings and 3D models using approved CAD platforms.
Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards and project specifications.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to project teams.
Conduct quality checks on design deliverables prior to issue.
Coordinate with engineers, designers and stakeholders to develop practical solutions.
Maintain accurate drawing registers, revisions and project documentation.
Monitor assigned work to ensure delivery against project schedules and client expectations.
Demonstrate a high standard of personal safety and safe design practices.
