Job summary

Ferrovial Construction in Sydney seeks a Structural Design Segment Manager to lead design calculations and plan production for major civil projects. You’ll coordinate with design leads and multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality, schedule and safety standards are met.

The role requires a civil/structural engineering degree with several years of bridge design experience and proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, SAP2000 and related tools, plus strong stakeholder communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering required.
• 4+ years in analysis and design of structures; bridges and civil infra preferred.
• PE licensure in a U.S. state or ability to obtain within one year.
• Experience with design software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, SAP2000, and SOFiSTiK.
• Strong communication and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and plan production for bridges and major civil infra.
• Coordinate design checks, quantity support and field observations.
• Perform engineering analyses and develop design optimizations.
• Oversee design execution, workflows and quality across packages.
• Interface with clients, owners and subconsultants to resolve issues.
