Job summary

Cadigal Group in Sydney is seeking a talented Structural Engineer to contribute to the design, analysis, and execution of complex structural projects across residential, commercial, and infrastructure sectors.

You will collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality engineering solutions, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with Australian standards including AS 3600, AS 4100, and AS 1170, while managing project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Masters preferred.
• PE or CPEng certification/license.
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, RAM Structural System, AutoCAD.
• Understanding of Australian building codes and standards (AS 3600, AS 4100, AS 1170).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems for diverse projects.
• Perform detailed calculations, simulations, and modeling per Australian standards.
• Manage projects from conception to completion.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and regulators.
• Prepare engineering reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns.
• Ensure QA of calculations, drawings, and deliverables.
