Job summary

Northern Land Council based in Darwin is seeking a senior leader to fill a 12-month maternity leave fixed-term role as N84 Manager - Business Strategy and Performance for Land and Sea Programs. You will lead a multidisciplinary team delivering governance, funding compliance and performance.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will translate strategy into action, oversee Learning on Country, adaptive management, and ensure robust reporting for a dispersed workforce.

Qualifications

• Experience leading senior teams in complex organisations or service delivery settings.
• Strong business planning, contract management, financial oversight and reporting capabilities.
• Experience managing large funding agreements, including acquittals, supported by sound governance, risk and compliance knowledge.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with Traditional Owners, colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Understanding Aboriginal people’s interests in land and sea management, NT driver’s licence and willingness to travel remotely.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for business systems, governance, funding compliance and performance.
• Connect strategic priorities with practical program delivery.
• Oversee Learning on Country, adaptive management, administration and cultural advisory functions.
