Job summary

Qantas Group is seeking a Strategic Workforce Planner to lead the workforce planning function for airports and freight from our Mascot Corporate Campus. You will develop and monitor long-term resource plans and drive transformation initiatives through robust stakeholder engagement.

You will lead a team of planners to deliver cost-effective, compliant rosters and schedules up to 28 days ahead, balancing operational needs with efficiency. This is a 12-month fixed-term full-time role in Sydney.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Workforce Planning, Resource Planning or Workforce Management.
• Strong analytical capability with forecast modelling.
• Ability to develop workforce plans balancing operational requirements, service outcomes and labour costs.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proactive, commercially minded with process improvements and efficiencies.
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel and rostering systems experience.
• Experience with GroundStar software is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of workforce planners to produce effective, safe and cost‑efficient seasonal planning and monthly rosters, planning rule set up and maintenance, Master Roster Build and creation to (-28) days.
• Identify and implement transformation initiatives across Airports/Freight portfolios through stakeholder engagement and business partnering.
• Develop long-term strategic resource plans for airports and freight in line with group strategy.
