Job summary

Qantas Airways is seeking a Strategic Workforce Planner to lead a team responsible for long-term resource plans for airports and freight. You will identify transformation opportunities, engage with stakeholders, and deliver cost-effective rostering aligned with group strategy.

This 12-month fixed-term, full-time role is based at the Mascot Corporate Campus and offers on-site work with strong career development opportunities within a premier Australian airline.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Workforce Planning, Resource Planning or Workforce Management within a complex environment.
• Strong analytical capability including forecasting, scenario modelling and translating data into practical solutions.
• Ability to develop workforce plans and resource strategies balancing operational requirements and costs.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels.
• Proactive, commercially minded with a track record of driving workforce improvements and efficiencies.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel and rostering/scheduling system experience.
• Experience with GroundStar software is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of workforce planners to deliver seasonal planning and monthly rosters, rule setup and roster creation to day -28.
• Develop and monitor long-term strategic resource plans aligned with Airports/Freight and group strategy.
• Drive transformation initiatives through extensive stakeholder engagement and business partnering.
