Job summary

Qantas is recruiting a Strategic Workforce Planner for a 12-month fixed-term role at our Mascot Corporate Campus. You will develop long-term resource plans for airports and freight, partner with stakeholders across the organisation, and drive transformation initiatives to optimise workforce cost and service outcomes.

You will also lead a team of workforce planners to deliver seasonal planning and monthly rosters, and manage the Master Rosters and planning rules to 28 days out.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Workforce Planning, Resource Planning or Workforce Management, ideally within a complex operational environment.
• Strong analytical capability, including workforce forecasting, scenario modelling and translating data into practical business solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to develop workforce plans and resource strategies that balance operational requirements, service outcomes and labour costs.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation.
• A proactive, commercially minded approach with proven experience driving workforce improvements, process enhancements and operational efficiencies.
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills and experience with workforce planning, scheduling or rostering systems.
• Experience with GroundStar software and/or aviation, logistics, freight or transport environments is highly regarded.
