Job summary

dnata catering & retail is Australia’s leading inflight catering partner, and this role sits in the Workforce Planning team. As Resource Allocator you’ll ensure the right people are in the right place, coordinating rosters, overtime, labour hire and leave to keep operations running smoothly.

Reporting to the Resource Allocator Team Leader, you’ll work with operational leaders to resolve staffing challenges, maintain coverage, and support payroll processes while adhering to Enterprise Agreements

Qualifications

• Experience in workforce planning, rostering, scheduling or resource allocation.
• Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using workforce management or rostering systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing operational demands in a high-pressure environment.
• Understanding of Enterprise Agreements, Awards or workforce compliance requirements.
• Availability to work a rotating roster across seven days.

Responsibilities

• Manage roster movements, shift changes and staff allocations.
• Coordinate overtime, shift extensions and labour hire requirements.
• Monitor workforce supply and demand to ensure staffing coverage is maintained.
• Update and maintain workforce planning systems with accurate employee and roster data.
• Liaise with operational leaders and labour hire providers to support operational requirements.
• Process leave, training and roster-related updates.
• Provide support and guidance to employees regarding roster enquiries.
• Prepare workforce reports and support payroll-related processes.
• Ensure compliance with Enterprise Agreements, policies and workforce planning procedures.
