Job summary

Chandler Macleod is supporting a Federal Government agency with an Enterprise Workforce Planning Analyst role. The position focuses on data analysis, reporting and forecasting to enable evidence-based workforce decisions across the organisation.

The role requires translating complex data for senior leaders, contributing to forecasts and scenario modelling, and collaborating with Finance, People and Culture to align workforce plans with enterprise priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience cleansing and validating complex datasets from multiple sources.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to identify trends and risks.
• Experience producing clear reports, dashboards and summaries.
• Proficient in Excel; Power BI or similar tools is highly regarded.
• Ability to translate complex data for senior stakeholders.
• Experience forecasting, scenario modelling, workforce or financial planning.
• Strong stakeholder engagement across business areas.
• Ability to work autonomously in a complex environment.
• Understanding data quality, governance, confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Manage collection, validation, reconciliation and analysis of data from multiple sources.
• Maintain workforce planning datasets, rules and source mappings for data consistency.
• Analyse demand, vacancies, recruitment, movements, labour hire and costs.
• Investigate data discrepancies and document limitations.
• Develop reports, visualisations and insights for monthly planning and executive decision-making.
• Support forecasting and scenario modelling by testing assumptions and documenting methods.
• Build relationships with Finance, People and Culture and stakeholders.
• Translate complex workforce information into practical insights for strategic planning.
• Deliver high-quality outputs within agreed timeframes.
