Job summary

Uniway Pty Ltd, a HACCP and GMP certified contract packer in Mulgrave, Victoria, is seeking a Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager to oversee procurement, inventory, storage and distribution. You will develop purchasing strategies, source suppliers, manage overseas relationships, plan stock levels and coordinate with production to ensure on-time delivery of finished goods.

Strong cost analysis and team leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in supply chain, procurement, inventory or logistics.
• Strong cost analysis, planning and communication skills.
• Experience supervising a team in a busy production environment.
• Proficiency with inventory/warehouse systems and Excel.
• English and Mandarin Chinese communication skills highly regarded.
• Clear communication, sound judgment and practical problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Determine purchasing strategies for raw materials and packaging components.
• Source, evaluate, approve and select suppliers under HACCP/GMP.
• Negotiate contracts, prices and terms with suppliers.
• Manage relationships with overseas suppliers and lead times.
• Prepare and implement inventory plans and reorder points.
• Coordinate material requirements with Production Manager.
