Job summary

New West Foods, a Western Australia-based foodservice distributor, is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead a four-person team and manage 200 suppliers and about 6,000 products. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships and improving commercial returns with hands-on involvement in day-to-day operations.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee purchasing, inventory and supply chain while driving category growth, product development and cost efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in procurement or supply chain leadership.
• Experience building and leading high performing teams.
• Strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team across purchasing, inventory and supplier management.
• Negotiate supply agreements and trading terms to improve returns.
• Develop product ranges and identify opportunities for category growth.
• Improve supply reliability, stock performance and margins; reduce slow-moving stock.
• Collaborate with Sales, Warehouse and Finance to solve problems and support customers.
