Weir in Walespool/Perth, Australia, seeks an experienced Sales Director to lead and grow our APAC sales team. You will build executive relationships with major mining clients, shape regional strategies, and drive opportunities across capital equipment and services.

You will partner with Product, Supply Chain, and Finance to deliver growth, margin, and customer value. This role requires strategic leadership and a record of high-impact commercial performance.

Qualifications

• Extensive management experience with leadership in mining or related sectors.
• Proven ability to lead high-performing teams with coaching and development.
• Demonstrated success in strategic account management and executive engagement.
• Strong commercial acumen balancing growth, profitability and retention.

Responsibilities

• Lead and empower a high-performing regional sales team across APAC.
• Develop and execute regional growth strategies aligned to ESCO objectives.
• Own executive relationships with major mining customers and contractors.
• Identify and pursue major project opportunities and capital growth.
• Lead pricing strategy and ensure value-based selling discipline.
• Collaborate with Product, Supply Chain, Service, and Finance teams.
• Develop regional business plans and monitor performance against plans.
• Strengthen customer intimacy and market intelligence.
• Drive forecast accuracy and pipeline quality with operations.
• Represent ESCO at customer, industry and community events.
• Ensure disciplined sales processes and CRM compliance (Salesforce, Power BI).
