Travelex is seeking an Area Manager based in Sydney to lead up to 10 stores across Sydney metro and ACT, driving growth, profitability and strong customer experience. You will coach Store Leaders and Sales Consultants, ensuring KPI targets, compliance and financial performance are met in a fast-paced travel money retail environment.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial acumen and ability to apply solid commercial judgment
• Engage and present persuasively to Senior Management
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a multi-site manager with 5+ stores
• Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data insights and identify risks/opportunities
• Capability with change management, leading teams through ambiguity
• Strong influencing, negotiating and communications skills
• Continued presence amongst locations and shifts in this highly visible role

Responsibilities

• Engage and present persuasively to Senior Management
• Lead multi-site teams across 5+ stores and ensure KPI targets and compliance
• Manage and control stock with Inventory Management
• Uphold operational excellence: store appearance, merchandising and dress code
• Provide timely feedback to State Manager on performance
• Build cohesive relations with support office teams
• Identify talent for growth and succession planning
• Address customer complaints promptly and identify trends for improvement
• Conduct regular performance reviews with direct reports
• Foster an inclusive and inspirational team environment
• Collaborate remotely with peers and key stakeholders
