Singleton Council is seeking a Coordinator Recreation and Facilities to lead the planning, development, and management of recreation, open space, and facility services across the Singleton Local Government Area.

The role provides strategic direction and operational oversight to ensure parks, sporting facilities and open spaces are safe, sustainable and meet community needs, working with Council and stakeholders to deliver high-quality recreational outcomes.

Qualifications

• Essential to this role is tertiary degree qualifications in parks management, facilities management, recreation planning or other relevant discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in the implementation and delivery of recreation or facilities management programs.
• Well-developed stakeholder consultation and engagement skills with ability to lead a small high-performing team.

Responsabilités

• Lead strategic and operational planning of recreation, open space, and facility services.
• Input into the Capital Works Programme and long-term budgets.
• Manage budgets, contracts, and SLAs to support service delivery.
• Provide leadership, guidance and support to staff within the Recreation and Facilities team.
• Drive continuous improvement through quality management and performance evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety and environmental policies.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with community groups and stakeholders.
