Job summary

Wingecarribee Shire Council in NSW is seeking a Coordinator Maintenance for Open Spaces & Facilities to lead planning, delivery and governance of maintenance across parks, sports fields, and community facilities. You will supervise Supervisors and crews, ensuring safety, high presentation standards and efficient service delivery.

You will drive asset performance, manage budgets and resources, and work with stakeholders to align priorities with community expectations.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent demonstrated relevant experience in open space operations or facilities management.
• Demonstrated capability in strategic planning, workforce planning and service design.
• Extensive experience leading complex operational services within a regulated public sector or asset intensive environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proven experience managing operational and capital budgets, procurement and contract governance.
• Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience advising executives and managing community expectations.
• Demonstrated application of WHS and environmental risk management in field operations.
• Maintain a current C Class drivers' licence without restriction.
• Certificate IV in Project Management or related field
• Qualifications or relevant demonstrated experience in advanced contract management
• Diploma of Parks and Gardens Management or equivalent.
• Diploma of Leadership & Management

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination and delivery of maintenance across Council's parks, open spaces and community facilities.
• Provide leadership to Supervisors, Team Leaders and operational crews, driving safety, presentation and service delivery.
• Oversee maintenance programs, manage resources and budgets, and liaise with stakeholders to balance priorities with community expectations.
• Develop people, drive continuous improvement, and identify efficiency gains in asset performance and customer satisfaction.
• Lead high-performing teams and make a visible impact on Wingecarribee Shire's public spaces and facilities.
