Job summary

Wingecarribee Shire Council is seeking a Coordinator Maintenance - Open Spaces & Facilities to lead planning and delivery of maintenance across parks, facilities and open spaces in the Southern Highlands NSW. The role will manage diverse assets, supervise teams and collaborate with stakeholders to keep spaces safe, welcoming and well-presented for the community.

Qualifications

• Degree in Facilities Management or related discipline with relevant experience in open space operations or facilities management
• Demonstrated capability in strategic planning, workforce planning and service design
• Extensive experience leading complex operational services in a public sector or asset-intensive environment
• Proven ability to lead change and continuous improvement initiatives
• Experience managing operational and capital budgets, procurement and contract governance
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement, including advising executives and managing community expectations
• WH&S and environmental risk management experience in field operations
• Current C Class driver's licence without restriction
• Diploma/Advanced qualifications in parks management or leadership/management

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination and delivery of maintenance services across parks, open spaces and facilities
• Provide leadership to Supervisors, Team Leaders and crews to ensure safety, presentation and service delivery
• Oversee maintenance programs, manage resources and budgets and balance operational priorities with community expectations
• Develop staff, improve service delivery and identify ways to enhance asset performance and customer satisfaction
• Contribute to Wingecarribee Shire Council’s strategic goals in line with the Community Plan
