Job summary

Wingecarribee Shire Council in Moss Vale NSW is recruiting a Coordinator Maintenance for Open Spaces & Facilities. You will lead planning, delivery and coordination of maintenance across parks, sports fields, and community facilities.

You will oversee teams, budgets and programs, drive safety and service standards, and collaborate with stakeholders to balance priorities with community expectations. 35-hour week with day off every 19 days and flexible WFH options.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in facilities or horticulture-related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Proven capability in strategic planning, workforce planning and service design.
• Extensive experience leading complex operational services in a public sector or asset-intensive environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proven experience managing operational and capital budgets, procurement and contract governance.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including advising executives and managing community expectations.
• WHS and environmental risk management in field operations.
• Current C Class drivers' licence without restriction.
• Certificate IV in Project Management or related field.
• Diploma in Parks and Gardens Management or equivalent.
• Diploma in Leadership & Management.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination and delivery of maintenance across parks, open spaces and facilities.
• Provide leadership to supervisors, teams and crews to maintain safety, presentation and service.
• Oversee maintenance programs, manage resources and budgets, and coordinate with stakeholders.
