Job summary

Ampcontrol is seeking a Senior Project Controller to provide financial leadership across a diverse portfolio of complex projects. Based in Newcastle or North Sydney, you will partner with project managers to drive profitability, cash flow and governance from tender through completion.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition and commercial risk management, while improving cash performance and ensuring internal controls across projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline.
• CA or CPA qualification or working towards.
• Experience in project finance, project controlling or finance business partnering.
• Strong forecasting, cost control, margin management and cash flow.
• Experience in complex project environments.
• Excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• ERP/Reporting tools: D365 F&O, Power BI, Advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Tendering and Project teams to evaluate profitability, cash flow and risks.
• Lead project financial governance including budgets, forecasts and reviews.
• Monitor portfolio performance and provide analysis to improve outcomes.
• Manage financial impacts of variations, claims and scope changes.
• Drive working capital through billing, debtors and project cash flow.
• Prepare reporting and executive insights to support decisions.
• Ensure governance and internal controls compliance.
• Support continuous improvement of project financial systems and processes.
