Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking a Cost Control professional to own cost reporting and budget monitoring for staff and indirect costs on a major Australian project. The role is based in Sydney CBD and involves presenting cost performance to management and driving actions to improve financial outcomes.

You will work with budget owners, challenge assumptions, and maintain timely reporting while coordinating with the Finance team to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in a related discipline (or equivalent skills and knowledge).
Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence across stakeholders.
Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision.
Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to deliver to deadlines.

Responsibilities

Own cost reporting and budget monitoring for staff and indirect costs.
Track cost to date, forecast to complete, earned value and risks and opportunities.
Review forecast assumptions and contingency allowances; flag issues.
Prepare internal cost transfers and monthly accruals.
Present monthly cost performance to internal management with clear reporting.
Explain budget variances and drive actions to improve outcomes.
Collaborate with budget owners and meet reporting deadlines.
