Job summary

The City of Casey is seeking an experienced finance leader to head the Project Accounting Team, overseeing major capital works and developer contributions with oversight on governance and long-term financial sustainability.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will influence investment decisions, deliver robust analysis, and ensure strong financial governance across Casey’s multi-million-dollar infrastructure program. This role offers hybrid work arrangements and a supportive, diverse workplace.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, with CPA or CA qualifications highly regarded.
• Experience with ERP finance systems (TechnologyOne and XLOne preferred).
• Significant senior-level experience leading project accounting or capital accounting.
• Experience in infrastructure or capital works projects within local government or public sector.
• Strong expertise in financial governance, compliance, audit processes and executive-level reporting.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and provide trusted advisory support across complex organisations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Casey's Project Accounting Team and oversee capital works programs.
• Provide enterprise-wide financial governance frameworks and robust financial analysis.
• Deliver trusted financial advice and evidence-based analysis to support Executive Leadership Team.
• Improve project financial outcomes through stronger controls and governance.
• Develop a high-performing team with strong collaboration and client focus.
