Job summary

Shangri-La the Marina, Cairns is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead the hotel’s procurement function. This role focuses on driving cost efficiency, supplier performance and procurement capability across the property.

You will work closely with the Hotel General Manager, Group Procurement and operating departments to achieve best commercial outcomes while maintaining luxury service standards. Strong negotiation and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain within hospitality.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
• Experience managing supplier relationships.
• Ability to work across multiple departments and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of food safety, sustainability and quality management standards would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the hotel's procurement activities and team.
• Set product specifications with operating departments for local and regional sourcing.
• Evaluate supplier performance on cost, quality, delivery and service.
• Drive cost savings and procurement efficiencies while upholding quality standards.
• Collaborate with Group Procurement to source quotations for capital expenditure.
• Ensure purchasing aligns with policies, procedures, and contracts.
• Support supplier assurance and share procurement best practices.
• Ensure effective use of SSP and SCM systems.
