Job summary

BMA & NSW Energy Coal Sustaining Capital Projects portfolio in Brisbane seeks a Manager Procurement Site Engineering Projects. You will lead a team responsible for contract strategies, tendering, award, and management of contracts across major capital projects, with relocation support if required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in commercial and contract management roles in capital projects.
• Track record of excellence in contract negotiation and people leadership.
• Strong business acumen with deep understanding of project execution, risks and strategies.
• Experience managing a project portfolio of spend and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, mentoring and guidance to the team.
• Manage stakeholder relationships across Procurement, Asset Engineering and suppliers.
• Enable world class contract formation and management performance.
• Evaluate risk profiles, project drivers, and contracting options to inform contracting strategies.
• Develop safe project delivery and contractor performance strategies to maximise portfolio value.
• Gain support for and negotiate outcomes that achieve mutually beneficial goals.
• Identify and assess risks, make risk-informed decisions, and build a risk-aware culture using BHP's risk management framework.
