Job summary

Public Sector People is seeking a planning professional to manage major and complex strategic land use and planning policy projects. The role involves developing, implementing and monitoring development contributions programs and planning infrastructure provision for the Shire, with broader reviews of the strategic planning framework.

It also covers providing timely planning information and conducting inclusive community consultation activities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications requirement as listed in Essential.
• Knowledge of NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act relevant to development contributions and infrastructure provision.

Responsibilities

• Manage major and complex strategic land use and planning policy projects and tasks.
• Develop, implement and monitor Council’s development contributions programs.
• Plan for adequate infrastructure provision for the Shire and review the strategic planning framework.
• Provide timely and effective planning information and inclusive community consultation activities.

Education

Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, Geography, Business or Law and/or equivalent

Comprehensive working knowledge of the NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and development contributions
