Job summary

City of Ryde is seeking a Senior Coordinator Strategic Planning to lead key land-use planning initiatives and guide development of long-term plans. You will oversee master plans, LSPS, LEPs and DCPs, coordinating internal teams, government agencies, consultants and the community to ensure statutory compliance and alignment with Council’s strategic vision.

Qualifications

• Degree in Town Planning or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in town planning with focus on strategic land use planning and policy development.
• Experience in delivering strategic planning projects including LSPS, LEPs, DCPs.
• Experience leading, coordinating and managing complex strategic planning projects with budgets and timelines.
• Strong knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to coordinate strategic planning projects, including master plans and planning studies.
• Prepare, monitor and update strategic land-use planning documents (LSPS/LEPs/DCPs).
• Represent Council at meetings and manage consultants and staff work programs.
• Identify funding opportunities and maintain alignment with planning frameworks.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
