Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking an experienced Executive Officer to provide high-level operational and strategic support to the Central Operations Services Leadership team. Working with autonomy, you will coordinate governance processes, strategic plans and operational priorities.

You will prepare briefing materials, submissions and papers for senior forums, manage complex projects, and build strong relationships across the University and with external stakeholders to drive service delivery

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
• Experience establishing, monitoring and reviewing administrative procedures.
• Strong financial management experience, including budget management.
• Experience in staff supervision, training and performance management.
• Demonstrated skills in critical thinking and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted adviser to the Chief, COS for papers and materials for senior executive forums.
• Prepare and present discussion papers with analysis, strategy and recommendations.
• Organise tasks, prioritise work, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
• Build relationships across Operations Portfolio and support COS Leadership on strategy and delivery.
