Placements24 is seeking a strategic Logistics Planner to optimize the flow of goods and manage the broader supply chain network in a key regional hub. You will plan and coordinate logistics activities, forecast needs, and identify opportunities for cost reductions and efficiency improvements.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a track record of delivering high service and operational excellence in logistics.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Logistics Planner or in a related supply chain role.
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, logistics operations, and supply chain management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis tools.
• Proficiency with logistics planning software and MS Office Suite.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills with third-party logistics providers.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective logistics plans for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Analyze transportation data to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize routes.
• Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet operational demands and minimize carrying costs.
• Forecast future logistics needs and resource requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and documentation requirements.
