Job summary

University of New South Wales – Sydney NSW invites applications for a Senior Manager, Precinct Services within the Faculty of Science. The role leads strategic and operational management of the Precinct Services Store and Workshop, working with internal faculties and external suppliers to deliver aligned service outcomes.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or tertiary qualification and/or extensive management experience.
• Proven experience leading service delivery or operational functions within a large, complex organisation (education, health, research, or public sector).
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders with consultative and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiation and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and operational management of Precinct Services Store and Workshop function across governance, finance, reporting, technology and HR matters.
• Lead the development and execution of the Precinct Services Strategy aligned with Faculty and University priorities.
• Provide expert advice to senior leadership on precinct operations, infrastructure support, and service models.
• Drive service initiatives using data, digital capabilities and process redesign to improve efficiency and customer experience.
• Drive cross-functional service integration across stores, logistics, and workshops to improve coordination and end-to-end delivery.
• Prepare briefings and proposals for strategic and operational planning.
• Lead a high-performing workforce with focus on capability uplift, succession planning, and UNSW values.
• Oversee budget planning, cost recovery models, pricing frameworks, and resource allocation for long-term sustainability.
