Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking an Internal Audit Associate within the Markets and Securities Services Audit Team in Sydney. You will conduct risk-based audits across Markets Sales and Research, custody, fund services, trading services, and data solutions, working with regional and global teams.

The role emphasizes identifying control weaknesses, communicating findings clearly, and supporting continuous monitoring through data tools, with occasional regional/global travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in audit, controls, or regulatory roles in financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Strong command of internal control concepts and audit methodology.
• Ability to manage multiple audits in a global environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Willingness to travel regionally/globally up to 20–30%.

Responsibilities

• Execute risk-based audits across Markets Sales and Research, custody, fund services, trading services, and data solutions.
• Collaborate with regional and global audit teams to assess control design and effectiveness.
• Plan, test, evaluate controls, and draft reporting with clear issues and recommendations.
• Utilize computer-assisted auditing tools and explore continuous monitoring opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and stay informed on regulatory changes.
• Adapt to changing priorities and participate in regional/global audits, including travel.
