Job summary

JPMorganChase Internal Audit Department in Sydney seeks an Internal Audit Associate to conduct risk-based audits across Markets Sales and Research, custody, fund services, trading services, and data solutions. You will collaborate with regional/global teams, assess controls, and provide timely, persuasive audit findings to senior management.

The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work on multiple audits, and willingness to travel regionally and globally.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in audit, controls, or regulatory roles in financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Strong command of internal control concepts and audit methodology.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a global environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel regionally and globally (up to 20–30%).

Responsibilities

• Execute risk‑based audits of Securities Services businesses, including risk assessment, planning, testing, control evaluation, reporting and issue validation; recommend enhancements to address emerging issues and weaknesses.
• Provide timely updates and insights to senior audit management and stakeholders on business, operational, risk, and technology controls.
• Communicate audit results clearly and persuasively to influence outcomes, both verbally and in writing.
• Employ computer‑assisted auditing tools and identify opportunities for continuous monitoring and automated auditing.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
• Stay current on regulatory changes, market events, and emerging risks impacting the business and the Firm.
• Adapt to changing priorities and environments; participate in regional/global audits, including travel.
• Foster a culture of integrity, respect, teamwork, excellence, and innovation.
