Job summary

University of New South Wales in Sydney is seeking a Senior Project Officer within the University Strategy Office to drive strategic initiatives and events in support of Progress for All.

You will manage projects, engage faculties and divisions, prepare reports for university leadership, and oversee complex tasks with a focus on timely delivery and robust governance across UNSW processes.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline with relevant experience.
• Demonstrated project management experience with stakeholder engagement.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads.
• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Design and establish initiatives under the UNSW Strategy: Progress for All.
• Maintain relationships with faculties and divisions to implement initiatives.
• Prepare reports on Strategy progress for University Leadership Team.
• Monitor and elevate complex issues affecting strategic initiatives.
• Develop, implement and manage specific projects or events for the Strategy Office.
• Oversee project plans and schedules and participate in planning processes.
• Support governance structures and liaise with administrative units.
• Establish and maintain systems to manage projects and information.
• Contribute to proposals, business cases, and guidelines.
• Provide high level administrative support including minute taking, travel and budget management.
• Ensure projects are delivered timely and align with UNSW processes.
